To order online, click the book/material title(s) in green on this page and place in your cart.  Return to this page and repeat until you have finished selecting materials.  Complete your order(s) by paying through the vendor.   If you want to order USED books, be sure to order soon to allow materials to arrive in time for class (to order used from Amazon, click the link that says Used under the Amazon price).    Materials come from several different vendors and have been selected based on the lowest available price at the time.  Happy Shopping!

  • The Chronicles of Narnia Series by C.S. Lewis. We will be reading  The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian  this year and will continue with the series next year in Humanities I.  Order the set or individual books.  
  • Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain
  • The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame  (or a different paperback version here, less expensive without illustrations.  The first link is to a beautiful hardcover edition. )
  • Stories of America Volume I and Stories of the Nations Volume I by Simply Charlotte Mason, provided by Heritage, $35.  
  • Student Journal, provided by Heritage, $10 per student billed to your Heritage account

  • 3 College ruled composition books, stitched (so that they lay flat); these will be used for: 1) Commonplace Book (CPB) - (You may choose a nice, beautiful journal instead of a composition book for your  CPB, but it must lie flat (must be  approved on first day of class).  If you were in Hum II Modernity last year, you may use the same book from last year.  Common placing is a lifelong discipline not just something done for school.)   2) Reading Journal (RJ). Returning students  may use the same journal as last year if it is college ruled. 3) American Culture Notebook (ACNB) Must be new.
